To commemorate a second year for the *A Bathing Ape® flagship store in Mayfair, London - and 30 Years of BAPE® famed history - we’re proud to announce the launch of a seven piece, London-centric capsule comprised of the brand’s most iconic modern pieces.
Whilst you may already be familiar with the red, white and blue of the London-exclusive take on their signature BAPE® CAMO, this is the first time that it’s appeared on the SK8 STA, COLLEGE TEE, BIG APE HEAD TEE and SHARK FULL ZIP DOUBLE HOODIE. Adding the dose of Big Smoke flair to the brand’s best-selling silhouettes of 2023.
Despite earning its stripes as a cornerstone of London’s streetwear scene just over two decades ago, the brand’s four-storey flagship BAPE STORE® at the centre of England’s capital is still relatively fresh-faced - presenting a shopfront
lined with outwards-facing chrome Shark mannequins and brushed metal surfaces throughout.
So, all the more reason to celebrate.
Whether it be a splashing of Union Jack-coloured camouflage, subtly embellished ‘2’ accents throughout or even custom insoles, London’s 2nd Anniversary doesn’t skimp on details.
Reintroduced in 2021 under the SK8 STA tagline, this skater-cued lifestyle trainer has been on the receiving end of tastefully aligned inline colourways, not forgetting collaborations with the likes of Hajime Sorayama. This time however, a cows leather upper meets TPU accents in the colourway scheme mentioned above.
Similarly, the COLLEGE and BIG APE HEAD tees adopt the same palette - paying tribute to the anniversary’s numerics at the collar’s rear as a continuation of the front-facing graphic. To complete the capsule, BAPE® welcomed their SHARK FULL ZIP DOUBLE HOODIE in two colourways - both sporting a tonal under-hood before working a second brightly camo-clad shark over the top. Featuring the same collar details as each tee.
