BAPE®︎ is partnering with Hot Wheels, the world’s leading vehicle franchise which represents and unites all segments of car culture, on a limited-edition die-cast and apparel collection.
For decades, Hot Wheels has proven its influence in automotive and pop culture with legendary design and epic performance. Building more than 8 billion die-cast cars since 1968 and with hundreds of 1:64-scale vehicle models released each year, Hot Wheels has become sought-after collectibles that attract generations of fans from across the globe.
The BAPE®︎ x Hot Wheels collaboration will feature a diecast model based on the custom 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL. The car, also known as the "Gull-wing Coupe" because of its seagull-like door structure, has been wrapped in BAPE®︎'s ABC CAMO. In addition, the logos are placed at all angles, including on the hood. A special casing is included to encourage the premium display of this iconic vehicle, making it a truly impeccable collector item.
 
This collaborative work by Hot Wheels and BAPE®︎ surpasses the boundaries of genres to create items that unite the sensibility of the street with the playfulness of these miniature model cars at a high level. In addition to the car that reflects the identities of both brands, BAPE® and Hot Wheels have thoughtfully designed an assortment of apparel for aficionados of both brands to enjoy.
The tees and hats featured in the Bape® x Hot Wheels collection are designed with a wide variety of graphics inspired by the racing culture from the past years. The color palette in this collection consists of vintage-inspired olive and red colors, paying tribute to the history of Hot Wheels, which unifies and embodies all elements of car culture.
The collection will be available starting 28th May at UK.BAPE.COM and BAPE STORE® LONDON.
